I have used this product or similar from Solgar for decades now, on and off. Solgar has made claims in the past, probably today too, theirs is pharmaceutical grade. This justifies paying a bit more, but I don’t like to see them get too carried away with the price as tends to happen especially if reviews are too positive. So with this in mind, yes the product seems to be effective as a Ginko Biloba herbal supplement with all the touted claims. OTOH, Solgar is not immune to being found to provide inferior products: years ago I recall a supplement of theirs that was useless because of the way the digestive track handled it – they reformulated the product successfully. The best possible virtue I hope this Brand has is that it would monitor for presence of pesticides in its herbal products – they make no claim specifically related to this as far as I know. Does pharmaceutical grade equal no pesticides? Who knows. One unpleasant side effect for me with my acid reflux is that the product makes that condition worse and so I find has to be taken only with food to mitigate the effect.
