the taste is an acquired one but once you get used to it, its ok. it has in it all the minerals i need as an “older” woman and I have to say, since making my protein shakes, i have noticed an Improvement in my energy levels and alertness. I have the tendency to snack but have recently embarked on a health regime(won’t say diet) and was using a different protein shake to replace one meal a day. I was recommended Hemp by a friend who is recovering from cancer and who has really researched the foods she now eats. she has taken hemp powder for a while and has felt the benefits so I thought why not give it a go as Hemp seed seemed to have more beneficial elements to it than the other Protein powders. you need to read up on the benefits of Hemp seed powder to see for yourself. I tend to have mine around lunch time before I go to work and am so impressed that i am able to go through my shift not being hungry or lethargic. I was getting a slump around 3pm and that was when i was turning to the snacks to tie me over until evening meal. I had lost weight on previous protein powders and now I have switched to the Hemp, I am keeping the weight off, the health benefits in me personally are noticeable I feel so much more alert. Its a great way to give yourself your daily intake of fibre, potassium, magnesium and zinc which i was lacking and instead of looking for certain foods to get my RDA this powder serves them all and more. ideal for those of us on the go and prone to missing meals which is not good for any of us. you can add fruits to make it more palatable and i mix mine with goats milk. Down side???? seems to be out of stock everywhere! the Nutiva brand obviously is more popular which is a given as I googled Hemp seed powders and NUTIVA was rated the best. hoping Amazon will restock soon as running out.

I have a terrible case of lactose intolerance and needed to find a dairy free protein powder that taste great. A friend recommended this and I am not disappointed.
