I have been using this for over 3 years, first with my son and now my baby daughter who both suffer from eczema caused by food allergies. I have tried all sorts of prescribed and over the counter creams, but this is the only one which helped and didn’t cause skin irritation like the others. It’s a bit greasy (similar to vaseline) but works wonders.

I bought this in hope that it’ll help treat my son’s nappy rash. It’s sort of disappointing that it didn’t work out for him, as I have read loads of positive reviews about it, and it’s pretty expensive.
After experimenting, what works best on my son is lurk warm water with cotton wool. I would put a layer of aveeno emollient cream on his thighs and bottom, before applying sudocrem. He suffered nappy rash the first 4 months of his life, and now he is finally nappy rash free.

Protects baby from diaper rash

Very interesting product as essentially it’s just petroleum as far as I can see, so I was not expecting much from it. It applies as a greasy, smeary blob but it does melt into the skin nicely, and I can confirm that it earns its title as healing cream. I have used it on my overly hot, dry feet where I don’t have dry skin but where they feel as if they’re burning up at night. Applying Aquaphor has stopped this, and helped my feet return to being moisturised. I also use it for face cleansing–it’s very rich and oily but, does a marvellous, healthy and non-damaging job. Then, I’ve used it for chapped hands and to plump my lips before applying lipstick. Although it’s marked for babies, I heartily recommend it for the medicine cabinet of every home or for daily use in skincare.

This product did not work on my 3 month old baby girl. She has/had a rash on her face, neck and joints. Aquaphor and Vaseline are similar and do not heal the skin. In fact it left her skin quite raw and inflamed. I have been using sudacrem on nappy area since birth on my little but only recently have started using a little sparingly on her face and neck, only because I was feeling helpless. It actually works in conjunction with Aveeno baby products. Sudacrem actually heals the skin and you can feel/see the skin almost growing back (sounds weird I know but it’s true in my experience). She is still itchy but I think that is due to her teething and saliva being spread over her face by her hands/mits.

I have been using the normal aquaphor on my son for several months now, and it was the best ointment I had found so far. However the price of it recently sky rocketed on Amazon and so I reverted to using Diprobase for about a month. During this time my little ones eczema which was previously well controlled, slowly got worse and worse. His hands became very dry and scaly and cracks and sores starting appearing in his creases again. After buying this baby version his skin has significantly improved in just a few days – his hands are almost back to normal now and all the cracks have healed up and are reverting back to normal skin. I think the baby version might be even better than the normal one. I highly recvomend you give this a try if your littles ones have eczema.
